Who are the Campaign LEARN partners? We are a mix of national, state, and student-led university organizations that are committed to real education reform and policy change in Connecticut.

Connecticut Black Alliance for Educational Options (CT BAEO): A non-profit organization that exists to help parents understand, expand, and protect high-quality educational options for their children. CT BAEO is focused on supporting parents of public school children to engage in meaningful advocacy and mobilization efforts that result in real policy change.

African American Affairs Commission (AAAC)
: The mission of the African-American Affairs Commission (AAAC) is to improve and promote the economic development, education, health and political well-being of the African-American community in the State of Connecticut. The AAAC accomplishes these goals through information sharing, promoting cultural awareness, community networking, and legislation.

State of Black Connecticut Alliance (SBCT)
: A state-wide network of parents, youth, faith-based, community leaders, non-profits, small businesses and community members working together to encourage personal responsibility, strengthen families, promote public policy that supports children, their family, the community and identify and implement best practices to sustain improvement in education, social and economic conditions thus creating "One Connecticut.”

Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now (ConnCAN)
: An advocacy organization building a new movement of concerned Connecticut citizens working to create fundamental change in our education system. ConnCAN is a platform for citizens to effectively voice their concerns. Through public communication, research and policy work, community outreach and legislative advocacy, ConnCAN does the legwork so that Connecticut citizens can effectively speak up for kids.

Connecticut Commission on Children: Created with bipartisan support in 1985 by the Connecticut legislature, the 25-member Commission on Children brings representatives of all three branches of government—legislative, executive, and judicial—together with representatives of the private sector to promote public policies in the best interests of children.

Connecticut State Conference of NAACP Branches (CT NAACP): The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, (NAACP) is the oldest, largest and strongest civil rights organization in the United States. The NAACP is committed to achievement through non-violence and relies upon the free press, the petition, the ballot and the courts. We are persistent in the use of legal and moral persuasion even in the face of overt and violent racial hostility. We are an advocacy organization that provides a forum for civil rights policies to be discussed and debated.

Education Equality Project (EEP)
: The Education Equality Project (EEP) is a bipartisan advocacy organization that believes education reform is the most pressing civil rights issue of our generation.  EEP is building a movement of elected officials, civil rights activists, educators, business and public policy leaders, parents, students, teachers, and concerned citizens dedicated to closing the racial and ethnic achievement gap in U.S. public education.  Our mission is to close the education achievement gap for low-income and minority students in U.S. public schools and to increase academic opportunities and improve achievement for all students.  Our principles emphasize effective teachers and leaders, true accountability, and expanded options for students and families.

Latino and Puerto Rican Affairs Commission: The mission of the LPRAC is to advise the Connecticut General Assembly and Governor concerning the administration of state programs that affect the Latino population of the state.  The LPRAC is also responsible for conducting educational and outreach activities intended to raise awareness of critical issues for the Latino population of the state.

Multicultural Chamber of Commerce - Stamford
: Established in 2007, the Multicultural Chamber of Commerce – Stamford (MCC-Stamford) is an independent, member-funded organization established by a group of thoughtful business men and women committed to the economic vitality of Stamford by engaging and assisting business professionals, entrepreneurs and small and mid-size companies to sustain and expand their businesses.
